Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Three years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP required or must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex California workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Manage claims through action plans to resolution and negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Calculate reserves and pay benefits due, ensuring timely payments and adjustments.
• Liaise with excess carriers and manage the litigation process when needed.
