Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner for California workers' compensation with remote flexibility. You will adjudicate complex claims, drive settlements, manage litigation, and coordinate with clients across industries. A bachelor's degree and California claims experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
• California jurisdiction knowledge required; SIP required or must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure.
• Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Calculates reserves and pays benefits due; settles claims within authority.
• Prepares necessary state fillings within statutory limits.
• Manages litigation process and ensures timely resolution.
• Reports claims to excess carrier and handles directions professionally.
