Core duties include managing claims, conducting investigations, determining settlements within authority, communicating with insureds and claimants, and maintaining detailed claim files with discretion and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 months of property and casualty claims handling experience.
• SIP certification preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability.
• Conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and liability.
• Determine and may negotiate settlements within prescribed authority.
• Convey routine to moderately complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• May authorize payments in accordance with assigned authority limit and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including all correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
