Job summary

NIIC National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking a CA Workers Comp Claims Adjuster to join the team. The role can be hybrid from the Richfield, OH office four days per week or fully remote from anywhere in the USA. Core in-office days are on-site with some flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum 6 months of property and casualty claims handling.
• Experience toward AIC or SIP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims and evaluate liability.
• Conduct investigations to verify coverage, liability and damages.
• Determine settlements/reserves within authority and may attend mediations or trials.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants and partners to explain coverage and settlements.
• Maintain accurate claim files and documentation.
