Job summary

National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking a CA Workers' Comp Claims Adjuster to join our team. This role may work hybrid from the Richfield, OH office 4 days per week or fully remote from the USA, if not local to the office.

Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field, with 6 months of claims handling experience preferred. This is a non-exempt position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6 months of property and casualty claims handling experience preferred.
• Professional designation such as AIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of claims and evaluate compensability/liability.
• Conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability.
• Determine and negotiate settlements/reserves within authority.
• Maintain detailed claim files with correspondence and settlements.
