Job summary

NIIC National Interstate Insurance Company is seeking a CA Workers Comp Claims Adjuster who can work remotely in the USA. The role involves managing claims, investigating coverage, and negotiating settlements within authority. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with 6 months of claims experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field.
• Prefer experience handling California and AZ losses.
• SIP certification preferred; AIC designation encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Conducts claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability and damages.
• Negotiates settlements/reserves within assigned authority; may attend arbitrations or depositions.
• Maintains detailed claim files and communicates with insureds and external partners.
