Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group seeks a California Employment Attorney for a remote contract lasting about 2–6 months. The attorney will support a single client with a high-volume employment portfolio and guide matters from pre-litigation through litigation when needed.

Requirements: active California Bar membership, residence in California, and at least four years of California employment law experience, including research, motions, pleadings, briefs and depositions.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum of 4 years of California employment law experience.
• Experience handling employment litigation, including research, motions, pleadings, briefs, and depositions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of California employment law claims from pre-litigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions and support all phases of the litigation process when settlement is not possible.
• Evaluate claims, develop case strategy, and participate in settlement negotiations.
• Independently manage assigned matters with minimal supervision while providing strategic support.
