Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking a California Employment Attorney for a remote contract assignment expected to last about 2 to 6 months. The attorney will support a single client with a high-volume portfolio of employment-related matters from pre-litigation through litigation when needed.

Ideal candidates have active California Bar membership, reside in California, and at least 4 years of California employment law experience, including litigation.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Reside and practice in California.
• Minimum of 4 years of California employment law experience.
• Current in-house or law firm employment law experience.
• Experience handling employment litigation matters, including research, motions, pleadings, and depositions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume portfolio of California employment law claims from pre-litigation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents under California law.
• Take and defend depositions and support all phases of the litigation process when settlements fail.
• Evaluate claims, develop case strategy, and participate in settlement negotiations.
• Independently manage matters with minimal supervision while advising the client.
