Job summary

CloudLinux Inc. is seeking talented C Developer Interns to join the TuxCare team. This internship offers hands-on experience in C development and the chance to contribute to innovative projects within a security-focused Linux ecosystem.

You will work on real-world projects, collaborate with an experienced team, and learn to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, while gaining exposure to backend development and system programming in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Some C programming and debugging skills.
• Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management.
• Experience with GNU/Linux operating system (CLI) and shell scripting.
• Basic experience with building the Linux kernel and troubleshooting related issues.
• English proficiency at B1 level or above (you’ll be communicating a lot in English, especially in writing).
• Self-starter who’s hungry to learn;
• Final‑year student or entry‑level engineer with strong basics.
• Able to read and reason about C / systems code, reviewing and validating patches is central.
• Solid fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants day‑to‑day; able to spot when output is wrong.
• Broad awareness of the current AI‑assisted development landscape.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world projects and contribute to the development of our products.
• Collaborate with our experienced development team and learn from industry professionals.
• Gain experience in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
• Learn how to write effective unit tests and ensure quality in software development.
• Get exposure to different areas of C development, including backend development and system programming.
