TuxCare is seeking a skilled Kernel Developer to join the KernelCare Team. You’ll work on developing and maintaining Linux kernel patches with a focus on security vulnerabilities, ensuring high reliability and minimal downtime for customer systems.

Ideal candidates have strong C programming skills, deep Linux kernel knowledge, and experience in cybersecurity. This role is fully remote with global collaboration and rapid iteration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong C programming and debugging skills.
• Experience with Linux kernel core subsystems.
• Proficiency with Git for patch management.
• English Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Linux kernels are updated in a timely manner with security fixes.
• Maintain and support existing kernel functionality while contributing new features.
• Develop Python and Bash scripts to support CVE patch testing (automation work led by another team).
