Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in Massachusetts seeks a Business Systems Analyst to design, enhance, and support key financial systems. You will bridge business stakeholders and IT to ensure clear, actionable requirements and scalable technology solutions.

You will gather requirements, document processes, and guide initiatives to improve operational efficiency, analytics, and reporting. Hybrid or remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics.
• Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions.
• Experience with Essbase, SmartView, Oracle Cloud (Hyperion), VBA, and SQL; development with SQL, Essbase Calc Scripts, Access, and Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology teams to support, enhance, and optimize financial systems.
• Gather and document requirements, analyze processes, and deliver solutions to improve efficiency.
• Serve as liaison between stakeholders, IT, and vendors, ensuring alignment with standards.
• Lead financial initiatives, support solution design, testing, deployment, and mentor team members.
