Job summary

Penn Foster Group seeks a skilled Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs with technology, driving analysis, design, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems such as SIS, LMS, and data platforms.

You will collaborate with Student Services, Admissions, Academic Operations, Finance, Marketing, Workforce Development, and Technology to identify needs and translate them into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or related role.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Working knowledge of SQL, data analysis, and reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to understand operational challenges, objectives and system needs.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, process reviews, and interviews.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Translate complex requirements into functional specs and user stories.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and technology teams to design scalable solutions.
• Support system enhancements across SIS, LMS, Financial Services, and data platforms.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and coordinate UAT with stakeholders.
• Create process maps, future-state workflows, and service blueprints for clarity.
• Document requirements, acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with goals.
