Job summary

Definiti LLC is seeking a Business/Process Improvement Analyst to analyze, document, and improve business processes within an Agile Scrum environment. You will bridge business needs with technical delivery while collaborating with software engineers, QA testers, and stakeholders to drive continuous improvements in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required; bachelor’s degree in business administration, CS, CIS, or related field preferred
• Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or equivalent preferred
• 4+ years of business analysis or process improvement experience, preferably within a technology or professional services environment
• Experience conducting gap analyses, cost-benefit analyses, and process maturation assessments
• Familiarity with SQL for data querying and analysis is a plus
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, .NET applications, or enterprise software environments is beneficial
• Experience with AI-driven process automation or RPA is a plus

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements; translate into user stories, process maps, and specs
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies; work with dev team to ensure requirements are understood and scoped
• Model current-state and future-state processes (BPMN, swim lanes) to identify gaps and improvements
• Collaborate with Engineers and QA Testers to ensure handoff between requirements, dev, and testing
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog with acceptance criteria for user stories
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement process improvements to reduce errors
• Develop and maintain process docs, SOPs, training materials, and business rules
• Support UAT coordination with QA to ensure solutions meet requirements
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and demos; communicate status, risks, changes
• Identify risks and propose mitigation with project leadership
• Stay current on Lean, Six Sigma, and technology trends
