Job summary

Sysco's Gilchrist & Soames division seeks a seasoned sales professional to drive new account acquisition and expand business in existing and new markets. This role emphasizes revenue generation from new accounts and strategic target markets, with travel to key customer meetings and trade shows across the US.

You will partner with Product Development and Marketing to grow brands, manage complex selling situations, and use CRM (Salesforce) to track pipeline and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sales, Marketing.
• Minimum of five+ years of sales experience with a focus on New Business Development/New Account Acquisition.
• Professional verbal and written communication, negotiation and active listening skills.
• Ability to ask meaningful questions to identify customer needs.
• Persistent with strong follow-up and ability to manage multiple products/brands.
• Strong internal relationship management and pricing/contract negotiation capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Identify and target new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales of personal care amenities.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing to develop brands and innovations.
• Prepare and present product presentations and demonstrations as needed.
• Negotiate pricing and terms and onboard new customers to transition from lead to account.
• Manage complex selling situations and customize messaging for key stakeholders.
• Coordinate trade shows as the manufacturer sales rep and document activities in CRM.
• Participate in project teams and communicate cross-functionally.
