Remote Business Development Lead – Deal Origination

Job summary

Partner One Capital is seeking a Business Development Associate to be the face of the US market. You will cultivate relationships with intermediaries, founders, bankers, and corporate development teams to generate qualified deal flow for the investment team.

You’ll manage your own calendar and territory from day one, travel frequently to conferences and events, and collaborate with the senior deal team on initial conversations and screening to move opportunities quickly.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in sales, business development, investment banking, private equity, corporate development or related finance.
• Track record of building relationships that produced revenue or deal flow, and of hitting activity or pipeline targets.
• Comfortable with finance basics: read a P&L, understand recurring revenue metrics and discuss valuation with bankers or founders.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend conferences and industry events across the US (1–3 per month).
• Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, M&A advisors, brokers and business owners in target verticals.
• Generate a steady flow of qualified acquisition opportunities and run first-screen conversations with sellers.
• Own CRM and report weekly on pipeline, conversion and activity.
