Job summary

Peachtree VA is assisting a client in hiring their first dedicated Business Development & Government Contracts Manager to own the full BD cycle for coaching and training programs and to manage the growing government contracts book. This is a salaried, fully remote role with occasional travel to the DC area for in-person collaboration.

You will lead consultations and proposals, draft PandaDoc requests, update pricing, and track prospects in Asana.

Qualifications

• Several years of business development or consultative sales experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication; you can guide Zoom conversations and turn them into compelling proposals.
• A consultative, relationship-first approach suited to professional-services buyers.
• Strong organization and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Lead consultations and proposals for coaching and training programs, progressing to independent leadership.
• Draft proposals in PandaDoc for leadership approval and manage client follow-up.
• Update pricing and proposal details; improve templates.
• Track prospective clients and pipeline in Asana; keep it current.
• Monitor unsigned proposals and stalled opportunities; flag for leadership.
• Deliver quarterly briefings on conversion rates and trends.
• Confirm signed agreements and hand off to training teams.
• Capture client feedback and renewal opportunities; identify expansion potential.
• Initiate renewal conversations for recurring programs.
• Manage government contracting schedule and registrations.
• Research RFPs, GSA opportunities, and other sources; recommend targets.
• Support RFP responses; represent at conferences and pitch audiences.
• Identify trends to inform BD strategy.
