Akima, LLC is seeking a driven Business Development Director for the Technology Services and Products Group (TSPG) to lead strategic BD activities, expand markets, and leverage existing client relationships. Candidates must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

The role emphasizes shaping opportunities across DoD IT markets, coordinating capture and proposals, and driving market outreach and trade show strategies while collaborating with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years progressively responsible BD experience in DoD IT environments.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities, shape deals and win competitive proposals.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with experience in technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market assessments to support growth in DoD IT markets.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities; support capture and proposal processes.
• Perform competitive analyses and develop Shipley-style capture plans.
• Lead trade show and outreach activities; nurture new and current customer relationships.
• Develop and maintain pipeline with accurate data and win probability calculations.
