Job summary

Akima is seeking a Director of Business Development & Capture for ground-based logistics within the Facilities Solutions Group. The role centers on creating growth strategies, qualifying opportunities, and driving capture of federal logistics programs valued at the hundreds of millions.

You will manage relationships, lead bid readiness, and coordinate with pricing, contracts, and proposal teams. The candidate should have extensive DoD customer experience, strong strategic and hands-on BD skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Experience in senior BD and capture roles within DoD or federal logistics sectors.
• Demonstrated success in winning large, complex federal opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies for Akima’s Federal ground-based logistics portfolio.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities generally valued at $250M+.
• Lead capture efforts from qualification through award and transition.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling, compliant proposals.
• Shape acquisition strategies and engage strategic partners for pursuits.
• Travel up to 20% as required by program activities.
