Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a field-based Business Development Director for Early Drug Development in Crop Protection and Chemicals. You will drive growth within the West/Central U.S. territory, identify and win multi-unit opportunities, and manage account plans with mid- and senior-level decision makers.

A hunter mindset and CRM proficiency are essential. The role includes 40-50% travel, frequent client visits, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maximize margins and win rates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5 years of sales experience selling scientific products/services to Crop Protection/Chemical or pharma/biotech segments with direct interaction with mid-level and executive decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Achieves annual sales plan and targets for assigned accounts/territory.
• Establishes and grows client relationships at appropriate levels; leads meetings and capabilities presentations.
• Develops account plans and partnerships with key accounts; manages customer expectations.
• Responsible for opportunity management and accurate pipeline forecasting; uses Salesforce for documentation.
• Travel 40-50% of the time for conferences, customer visits, and Labcorp sites.
