Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Business Banking Closing Specialist to provide administrative support to the Sales Team and coordinate the closing of Business Banking loans.

You will handle the collection of collateral reports and required information to satisfy credit approval terms. Responsibilities include generating term sheets, coordinating title work, tracking expenses, and ensuring timely closings while maintaining high service standards for lending clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least 1 year of loan processing/closing experience and/or real estate loan/Title company experience.

Responsibilities

• Generate term sheets and commitment letters, order third-party reports and title work, track expenses, engage counsel for trusts and unique language, collect items to clear closing conditions.
• Provide administrative support for the Business Banking Sales Team and coordinate the closing of Business Loans.
• Partner with Sales, Credit, Loan Servicing and vendors to ensure efficient and timely closings.
• Process Business Banking small business loans in preparation for closing within service levels.
• Review collateral reports and ensure terms meet credit approval; work with various collateral types.
• Assist in providing exemplary service to Huntington lending customers.
• Coordinate the closing date with customers and markets, manage the pipeline.
• Assist with maturities and collateral exceptions management.
• Ensure proper loan documentation by following laws, regs, and policies.
• Serve as SME in loan document reviews and provide feedback for corrections.
• Review QR workflow queue before documents are sent for signature.
• Use checklists to identify errors and communicate corrections prior to closing.
• Provide feedback on training and gaps to improve documentation quality.
