Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Associate, Broker Dealer Operations to join the Capital Markets team within Finance. You will help run the daily operational engine behind the U.S. equities brokerage experience, handling reconciliations, transfers, and corporate actions with accuracy and scale.

The role requires 2+ years in financial services operations, knowledge of the U.S. equities lifecycle, and the ability to follow procedures in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in financial services operations or related field.
• Knowledge of U.S. equities trade lifecycle concepts including order processing, settlement, positions, cash movements, corporate actions, and account transfers.
• Experience investigating data breaks or operational exceptions across multiple systems and driving issues to documented resolution.
• Ability to follow documented procedures consistently in a regulated environment while exercising sound judgment on exceptions outside the runbook.
• Familiarity with clearing platforms (e.g., Apex Clearing) and workflow-automation tools used in brokerage operations.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily reconciliations across Coinbase and Apex with documentation.
• Support onboarding and maintenance workflows including reviews and escalations.
• Process inbound and outbound securities transfers (ACATs) end-to-end with checks and tracking.
• Monitor operational alerts and coordinate remediation across Engineering, Product, Trading, CX, Compliance, Finance, and Apex.
• Support corporate action operations by reviewing event notices, deadlines, allocations, and post-event discrepancies.
• Identify recurring failure modes and propose improvements to reduce manual work and improve customer outcomes.
