Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking independent contractors to perform bridal and formalwear alterations for clients via our platform. You'll tailor wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and other formal attire, conduct fittings, and deliver high-quality finishing while maintaining an organized workspace.

This remote role offers flexible scheduling, local client requests through the platform, and opportunities to build repeat business and reviews as you grow your profile.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring.
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
