Thimble Alterations in North Carolina is seeking skilled bridal and formalwear alterations specialists to join our network of independent professionals. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits from home, handling hems, beading, zippers, and fittings.

Work remotely with local client requests routed through the platform; you choose assignments that fit your schedule and build repeat client relationships and positive reviews.

Qualifications

• Bridal/women's formalwear alterations experience.
• Accurate measurements and strong garment construction knowledge.
• Proficient in machine and hand sewing.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers).
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle).
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly.
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings.
