Job summary

Thimble Alterations is seeking skilled bridal alterations professionals to join a network of independent contractors. You will alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom outfits, handling hems, bodices, and zippers with precision.

You will conduct fittings, take measurements, and communicate timelines to clients. Work-from-home arrangements are available as an independent contractor, with local client requests shared through the platform and a flexible schedule to

Qualifications

• Proven experience with bridal and/or women's formalwear alterations.
• Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring.
• Machine + hand sewing proficiency.
• Professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Alter wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses (hemming, bustle, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
• Work with structured bridal gowns (multiple layers, lace, beading, linings, boning/tulle)
• Conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly
• Deliver high-quality finishing and maintain an organized workspace suitable for fittings We also receive requests for prom dresses, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, and other formalwear. Requirements
