Job summary

Targetedaccounting is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to support clients and fuel our firm’s growth. This role emphasizes accurate, clear financial records and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a tech-friendly environment.

You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and payroll while ensuring tax compliance and reliable client communication. A remote-friendly team values accuracy, efficiency, and collaborative improvement.

Qualifications

3+ years bookkeeping experience, ideally in an accounting firm or tech-savvy company.
Strong knowledge of cash and accrual bookkeeping and intercompany balances.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Proficient with QuickBooks Online, Dext, Plooto, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day bookkeeping: Manage AR, AP, payroll, and bank reconciliations; keep records in top shape.
Month-end & year-end: Support close processes, reconcile accounts, and prepare accurate reports for clients.
Tax compliance: Help clients stay on top of filings (HST, WSIB, EHT, etc.).
Client connection: Serve as a reliable point of contact; respond to emails and calls.
Payroll & reporting: Process payroll and assist with payroll-related compliance.
Process improvement: Identify efficiency opportunities and implement improvements.
