Job summary

Remote Jobs is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to own the company's bookkeeping and payroll functions. You will maintain accurate financial records, process payroll, resolve payroll and billing enquiries, and ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while upholding confidentiality and accuracy. This is a hands-on, full-time remote role aligned to US business hours (9am-5pm EST).

Qualifications

• Experience in bookkeeping and payroll.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and/or Sage.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and payroll administration.
• Independent management of bookkeeping and payroll functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure correct recording of transactions.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and filing systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Process payroll accurately and on time.
• Prepare payroll reports as required.
• Use QuickBooks and/or Sage for bookkeeping and payroll.
• Ensure data entry and financial reporting accuracy.
• Maintain audit-ready records and support process improvements.
