Job summary

VaVa Virtual Assistants, a remote company based out of Atlanta, GA, seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to manage the full bookkeeping cycle for multiple clients on a contract basis. The role requires adapting to different chart of accounts, client preferences, and GAAP standards, with strong communication to clients.

As a 1099 contractor, you will own client financial records, perform reconciliation, and deliver timely statements while maintaining strict confidentiality and data security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience with client accounts.
• Experience supporting multiple clients remotely and independently.
• Familiarity with various accounting software and processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain client accounts in preferred financial software.
• Run full bookkeeping cycle including entry, categorization, and reconciliation.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card, and liabilities monthly.
• Manage month-end close and deliver financial statements.
• Process accounts payable/receivable and client invoicing.
• Record and categorize expenses per chart of accounts and budget.
• Maintain organized financial filing for audit readiness.
• Keep client data confidential and compliant with security requirements.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors or tax preparers.
• Communicate task status and collect client input as needed.
• Apply automation to streamline reconciliation and reporting.
• Manage multiple engagements with competing deadlines.
