Offchain is building the Arbitrum stack, powering Ethereum scaling and enabling a new era of decentralized applications. You will work on core infrastructure, optimize distributed systems, and collaborate with researchers, product and engineering teams to push blockchain technology forward.

You’ll contribute to security, performance, and interoperability while supporting clients and internal stakeholders. The role offers a remote-first setup with a NY office and competitive compensation.

Qualifikationen

• 3 years of backend development with Go or Rust.
• Experience with blockchain protocols and distributed systems.
• Security-focused approach in distributed systems.
• Experience collaborating with research teams on blockchain technologies.
• Experience with WebAssembly development.
• Cloud and containerization experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).

Aufgaben

• Work on core infrastructure powering Arbitrum, the leading Ethereum scaling solution.
• Tackle complex distributed systems challenges and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with research, product and blockchain engineering teams on cutting-edge tech.
• Provide engineering guidance to clients and internal stakeholders on infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Maintain and enhance the Nitro Testnode development tool for local Arbitrum nodes.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality and architecture consistency.
• Define backend architectural standards and tech stack choices.
• Design high-performance compiler pipelines and extensible SDK frameworks.
• Collaborate with Security to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Drive the technical roadmap with Product for distributed systems and data modeling.
