Pomelo Care is building a network of experienced birth and full-spectrum doulas to support families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with flexible hours and telehealth availability.

Join a nationwide virtual practice focused on accessible care for women and children. Credentialing includes Virginia-approved training and verification of state certification, NPI, and liability insurance as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Certification as birth and/or full-spectrum doula.
• Experience with pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse families.
• Comfort using telehealth platforms, video conferencing, and electronic documentation systems.
• Available for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends.
• Located in Albemarle county, VA or able to serve the area.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period.
• Improve birth outcomes by providing supportive care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for visits and birth support.
• Follow privacy, quality, and compliance standards for Pomelo services.
