Job summary

Pomelo Care, a leading virtual medical practice for women and children in the United States, is expanding a network of birth and full-spectrum doulas. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, with virtual and in-person opportunities, including evenings and weekends, serving Albemarle county, Virginia.

You will complete credentialing steps, educate families, maintain documentation, and support care delivery while leveraging telehealth and electronic systems.

Qualifications

• Completed certification and training as a birth and/or full-spectrum doula.
• Experience working as a doula with understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and postpartum recovery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with families virtually and in-person.
• Comfort using telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.
• Availability for virtual and in-person work, including evenings and weekends.
• Located in or able to serve Albemarle county, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
• Play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation for visits and birth support.
• Follow applicable documentation, privacy, quality, and compliance standards for Pomelo services.
