Job summary

RecruitMyMom seeks a remote contractor to lead scientific substance validation and IP positioning across biotech and energy portfolios. You will draft invention disclosures, strategize filings, and prepare diligence memos for financial and regulatory audiences, with 4–5 hours daily.

You will build science roadmaps, engage academic and corporate networks, and support business development while ensuring defensible, accurate narratives. Availability for cross-timezone calls is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with senior academic standing preferred.
• Track record in biotechnology and life sciences pipelines.
• Direct experience in patent preparation or instruction of patent attorneys.
• Ability to construct structured development plans with milestones and budgets.
• Publication-quality scientific English for non-technical readers.

Responsibilities

• Intellectual Property preparation: draft invention disclosures, perform prior art searches, and design international filing strategies.
• Business Plan and Content Development: author technical sections for investors and legal readers with accuracy and defensibility.
• Scientific Roadmap and Development Planning: create milestones, regulatory pathways, and resourcing budgets.
• Technology Vetting and Diligence: produce written memoranda evaluating science, claims, data provenance, and milestones.
• Business Development: source technology and represent the firm at technical forums.
