Job summary

AECOM is seeking a BIM (Digital Design) Specialist to lead development and coordination of Building Information Models (BIM) and construction drawings. You will translate markups into accurate documents, coordinate with disciplines, and support project delivery on data center projects from multiple US locations.

This primarily remote role may require periodic travel for client meetings and milestones. Strong experience with Revit and BIM/CAD tools is essential, with an emphasis on independent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience, or equivalent experience. An engineering degree is not required.
• Strong experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM/CAD tools used for design and building systems applications.
• Experience with drafting, construction documentation, and shop drawings.
• Ability to develop plans, sections, schedules, and details from markups, redlines, and design direction.
• Experience with BIM model coordination, clash detection, and identification of interferences between building systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM models and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit and other applicable BIM/CAD software.
• Prepare plans, sections, schedules, details, and related drawings based on engineering markups, redlines, design documents, and technical direction.
• Develop and review shop drawings and detailed construction documents to support project execution.
• Perform model coordination with all other building disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, and plumbing systems.
• Identify, document, and assist in resolving model clashes, interferences, and constructability issues.
• Interpret design intent and translate technical information into accurate, coordinated BIM models and drawings.
• Work independently on assigned drafting and modeling tasks while collaborating with project team members to resolve technical questions.
• Maintain model accuracy, drawing quality, and compliance with project standards, established BIM protocols, and documentation requirements.
• Support project teams throughout the design and construction documentation process, incorporating revisions and updates as required.
