Job summary

AECOM Corporation is seeking an Electrical BIM (Digital Design) Specialist for data centers. The role focuses on developing and coordinating BIM models and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit, translating engineering markups into precise documents, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Remote work is supported, with potential travel for key milestones. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent), strong BIM coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM/CAD tools used for electrical design and building systems.
• Experience with electrical drafting, construction documentation, and shop drawings.
• Ability to develop electrical plans, sections, schedules, and details from engineering markups and design direction.
• Experience with BIM model coordination, clash detection, and interference identification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electrical BIM models and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit and other BIM/CAD software.
• Prepare electrical plans, sections, schedules, details, and related drawings from engineering markups and design documents.
• Develop and review electrical shop drawings and detailed construction documents to support project execution.
• Model and document electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and cable tray systems.
• Perform model coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, and plumbing disciplines.
• Identify, document, and assist in resolving model clashes and constructability issues.
• Interpret engineering design intent and translate technical information into accurate BIM models and drawings.
• Work independently on drafting tasks while collaborating with engineers and project teams.
