Job summary

simera-talent is seeking a highly organized Billing Specialist to manage billing activities, ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time, and maintain customer account information.

You will collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Finance, and Sales to resolve billing discrepancies, prepare reports, and meet deadlines while protecting the confidentiality of financial data. This role is remote-friendly and requires strong Excel/Sheets skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with ERP / accounting software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Verify billing information, pricing, taxes, and payment terms.
• Process billing adjustments, credits, refunds, and corrections as needed.
• Maintain accurate customer billing records and account information.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and customer balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and invoice issues.
• Respond to inquiries regarding invoices, charges, and payments.
• Coordinate with AR, Finance, Sales, and other teams to resolve issues.
• Reconcile billing records with accounting systems.
• Prepare billing reports and aging information for management.
• Ensure invoices follow company policies and procedures.
• Maintain organized billing documentation and supporting records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end billing activities.
• Support audits by providing billing documentation when required.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and customer information.
• Meet billing deadlines with high accuracy.
