Job summary

Maximus is hiring International Veteran Liaison Officers (Bilingual) to join the Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team in a remote capacity. The role handles VA-requested C&P exam coordination, educates veterans on VA procedures, and responds to concerns and feedback via email or calls.

Candidates must be US citizens or Green Card holders and demonstrate Spanish-language proficiency, with a required assessment if advanced. Training runs 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CST, Mon-Fri for 3–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Crisis hotline or crisis intervention experience is preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health intake is a plus.
• Experience with military family/member services is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls directly from upset veterans.
• Receive incoming calls transferred from the call center.
• Communicate with potentially violent, homicidal and/or suicidal veterans.
• Process exam cancellations.
• Review pending no-show cases and process them accordingly.
• Coordinate and process reschedules as necessary.
• Review AMTIS Survey cards and follow up with veteran if necessary.
• Update status for pending no-show cases.
• Remove/edit no-show letters posted in error.
• Send clarification requests via VBMS to communicate with the VA.
• Provide and assist qualifying Veterans with travel reimbursement guidelines.
• Gather, review, forward, and monitor Veteran travel reimbursement requests.
• Manage and update Provider complaints and OOA trackers.
• Gather information for in-home exam requests for severely disabled Veterans.
• Assist in requesting information from Veterans as needed by the quality control team.
