Job summary

Maximus is hiring an International Veteran Liaison Officer (Bilingual) to support Veterans Evaluation Services. This remote role requires US citizenship or a Green Card and Spanish-language proficiency.

The position involves handling VA-related communications, scheduling, and travel reimbursement guidance for veterans. The role includes training and after-hours scheduling considerations, with equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Spanish-language proficiency is a minimum requirement.
• US citizenship or Green Card holder required.
• Must reside in the Continental US.
• Spanish language proficiency assessment may be required.
• Military service required.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls from upset veterans.
• Receive incoming calls transferred from the call center.
• Communicate with potentially violent, homicidal and/or suicidal veterans.
• Process exam cancellations.
• Review pending no-show cases and process them accordingly.
• Coordinate and process reschedule as necessary.
• Review AMTIS Survey cards and follow up with veterans.
• Update status for pending no-show cases.
• Remove/edit no-show letters posted in error.
• Send clarification requests via VBMS to communicate with the VA.
• Provide and assist qualifying Veterans with travel reimbursement guidelines.
• Gather, review, forward, and monitor Veteran travel reimbursement requests.
• Manage and update Provider complaints and OOA trackers.
• Gather information for in-home exam requests for severely disabled Veterans.
• Assist in requesting information from Veterans as needed by the quality control team.
