Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Remote Bilingual Scheduling Specialist to support scheduling across hospitals, clinics, or centralized patient access centers.

You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling appointment scheduling and routing needs to clinical staff via centralized call center operations. Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish, with 1–3 years in scheduling or call center roles, and experience with EMR systems and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years scheduling, operations, or healthcare administration experience required.
• 1–3 years of physician/provider scheduling, patient appointment scheduling, or call center experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate patient appointment scheduling across multiple clinics.
• Receive inbound calls, texts, emails, and transfer urgent scheduling requests.
• Assess caller needs for urgent matters and warm transfer to clinic staff.
• Document non-urgent requests and route via EMR.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Research requests in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.
• Monitor EMR in-baskets and call center systems to manage workflows.
• Provide timely, professional service to patients, providers, and staff.
• Comply with policies and standards; perform other duties as assigned.
• This is a fully remote opportunity.
