Job summary

Oscar Medical Group is seeking a bilingual physician to join our Virtual Urgent Care team. The role provides care to Oscar Health Insurance members across designated states via telemedicine, with day and evening shifts and a weekend rotation.

You will report to the Medical Director, Virtual Urgent Care, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care using audio, video, and written communication from a home office. Remote work requires state licensure via IMLC and ongoing credentialing.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical program.
• Board Certification in ER/FM/IM.
• Spanish fluency (read, write, and speak).
• 3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience.
• 2+ years of experience delivering virtual care/telemedicine.
• Must be onboarded with active licenses in multiple states via IMLC and willing to obtain additional state licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting.
• Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team for complex patients.
• Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and other providers.
• Use tools to enable virtual exams including remote monitoring and remote diagnostics.
• Participate in a collaborative care model with nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, behavioral health clinicians and supervisors where applicable.
• Attend required meetings to support patient care and service line All Hands.
• Provide feedback to improve operational workflows and product features.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
