Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Patient Care Specialist for a remote role in Canada.

The specialist acts as the single contact for patients in a support program, providing case management support, reimbursement assistance, and self-injection training to ensure timely and continued access to therapy. Required is a college diploma or university degree with 2–3 years in healthcare or pharma, plus bilingual English/French and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• College Diploma or University degree is required
• 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry
• Experience with public (provincial/federal) and private drug reimbursement plans
• 2-3 years’ experience in customer service or call centre
• Bilingual English and French required

Responsibilities

• Single point of contact for patients enrolled in the support program and prescribing physician, if applicable
• Conduct welcome calls to gather information, introduce patients to the support program, and obtain consent
• Inform patients about all program offerings – case management, reimbursement support, self-injection training, prescription coordination and ongoing compliance
• Understands the molecule(s) in full detail
• Maintains expert knowledge of reimbursement mechanisms in public and private arenas
• Coordinate program services to ensure prompt and continued access to therapy and self-injection training
