Job summary

State Collection Service, Inc. is seeking remote bilingual Healthcare Customer Service Representatives to handle inbound and outbound calls about insurance, payments, and financial assistance in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities include resolving billing issues, processing payments, explaining information clearly, and complying with FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA. Shifts include evenings and Saturdays; base wages start at $16/hr for non-bilingual and $18/hr for bilingual plus up to $1–$2 per

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a Call Center or Customer Service function with public contact.
• Knowledge/experience of medical terminology, patient billing, healthcare insurance and/or healthcare administration preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask concurrently.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Bilingual candidates will provide additional support for bilingual calls.

Responsibilities

• Makes and answers calls in the name of the client to resolve billing and payment issues using established work queues and call pools.
• Responds to information requests from patient/account holders in a professional, thorough, explainable manner.
• Acts to gain payment or payment arrangements on behalf of the client as appropriate.
• Follows client-specific protocols and policies in duties.
• Investigates and responds to client inquiries as needed.
• Enters and monitors payment arrangements.
• Adheres to FDCPA, FCRA, HIPAA and other applicable laws.
