Aston Carter is seeking a remote Bereavement Support Specialist to assist employees with policy guidance and time-off information. You will manage real-time inquiries via phone, chat, and case platforms, ensuring empathetic treatment and regulatory compliance.

In this contract role, you’ll handle sensitive cases across multiple locations, maintain precise case records, and collaborate with HR partners to provide timely, clear updates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of HR experience.
• Experience with HR processes and systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong communication skills to explain policy clearly and empathetically.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail for multiple cases.

Responsabilités

• Provide empathetic, real-time support on bereavement policy and time off.
• Guide employees through bereavement policies with clarity and compassion.
• Handle calls, chats, tickets and cases through dedicated support queues.
• Assess each case and adjust the management plan as needs evolve.
• Address sensitive situations prioritizing the employee experience and de-escalation.
• Escalate when significant changes occur and manage workload effectively.
• Communicate updates to employees and stakeholders to ensure transparency.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, federal/state regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records for all cases and interactions.
• Collaborate with HR and internal teams for coordinated support across functions.
