Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to enable access to progressive therapies and work with health care professionals to establish financial assistance options. You will verify benefits, coordinate enrollment, and navigate payer requirements while prioritizing data quality and patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes empathy, problem-solving, and adherence to SOPs, with opportunities to contribute to a new patient support program and to experience a dynamic launch brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of related healthcare administration or benefits verification experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Current HUB experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Taking calls and outreach from health care professionals and entering data to initiate enrollment of new and existing patients.
• Verifying benefits for patient cases and detailing reimbursement requirements (copays, coinsurance, prior authorization, etc.).
• Initiating actions such as prior authorizations, appeals, or travel and appointments as applicable.
• Monitor delays, document lessons learned, and support process improvements.
