Job summary

Ashland Inc. is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in a fully remote US role. You will administer absence programs, assist with annual enrollment, and manage retiree benefits and life insurance while generating reports on leaves and benefit audits.

Required: a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 5 years of U.S. benefits experience; strong knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and IRS rules; excellent communication and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, organizational development, business, finance or related field.
• 5 years of experience with U.S. benefits including absence administration.
• Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, DOL and IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administers/coordinates absence programs including STD/LTD, FMLA and vendor coordination.
• Assists with Annual Enrollment and retiree benefit communications.
• Prepares reports related to benefits, leaves and audits.
