Job summary

TechOp Solutions International is seeking an experienced Benefits and Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role will provide comprehensive payroll and benefits support across multi-state operations while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

The position is remote, but candidates must reside in the DMV area (DC/MD/VA). You will assist with benefits programs, payroll processing, and related reporting, collaborating closely with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field and 3+ years supporting payroll in a multi-state environment.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Familiarity with payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with benefits program administration including health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, disability, retirement plans, and leave policies.
• Support semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll processing and payroll data validation.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audits and internal controls.
• Collaborate with HR to align payroll-related matters and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports; support audits and reporting needs.
