Job summary

Conduent is hiring a Benefits Coordinator for a fully remote, weekday role with a 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST schedule. You will analyze insurance coverage, verify eligibility, and manage COB processes to ensure accurate claims handling in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

The role requires healthcare COB experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a remote team. Experience with Medicare rules and NAIC guidelines is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of COB/healthcare experience or 4+ years in listed areas.
• Knowledge of COB guidelines, Medicare CMS, and NAIC.
• Strong communication and remote-work capability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Determine correct benefits for members with multiple plans.
• Review eligibility, coverage, and payer order.
• Contact carriers, CMS, providers, and members to validate coverage.
• Research COB issues and apply guidelines to determine coverage.
• Document findings in company systems with detailed records.
• Review EOBs to support payment determinations.
• Process COB correspondence and update eligibility records.
• Handle inbound/outbound COB inquiries.
• Meet productivity, quality, and turnaround goals.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with teammates while working remotely.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and documentation.
