Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Utilization Management Clinician for a 100% remote role across the U.S. You will review preauthorization requests, document decisions with providers, and manage crisis calls with clinical judgment to support safe, timely care.

Requires an active behavioral health license and 3+ years post-licensure experience with mental health and substance use disorders. Strong telephonic/computer-based work skills and high‑speed internet are essential; 12.5% shift

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license in your state.
• 3+ years of post-licensure behavioral health experience.
• 3+ years of experience with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Ability to manage telephonic and computer-based work simultaneously.
• High-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload).

Responsibilities

• Review preauthorization requests for behavioral health services using guidelines and clinical judgment.
• Coordinate, document, and communicate utilization management decisions with providers.
• Manage crisis calls and assess risk, coordinating appropriate interventions.
• Apply clinical expertise to support quality, cost-effective care.
• Work in a fast-paced queue-based environment and manage priorities.
• Collaborate with care teams to facilitate appropriate levels of care.
