Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Care Manager, BH for remote PA to support children and adolescents with behavioral health needs. The role requires PA licensure and at least 2 years of relevant healthcare experience, with expertise in utilization management and care coordination.

You will work under supervision with the clinical team, authorize services, monitor medical necessity, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives while coordinating discharge plans and member support.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure meeting state requirements (CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LPC or RN).
• Minimum 2 years post-degree healthcare/behavioral health experience.
• Knowledge of utilization management procedures and community resources.

Responsibilities

• Authorizes and reviews utilization of mental health and substance abuse services.
• Collects and analyzes utilization data and assists with discharge planning.
• Provides crisis intervention, telephone triage and emergency authorizations as assigned.
• Performs concurrent reviews and quality clinical audits to improve care.
• Participates in network development and provider collaboration.
