Job summary

MedXpress Healthcare Practice Solutions seeks a Behavioral Health Medical Biller for a 100% remote, part-time role based in Florida. You’ll handle CPT/ICD-10 coding, patient and insurer communications, and claims through submission, payment, and reconciliation, with emphasis on accuracy and problem-solving.

Must reside in Florida and have 2+ years of behavioral health billing experience. Flexible schedule and independence are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on behavioral health medical billing experience.
• Must reside in Florida for employment.
• Understand CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, place of service, insurance billing and payer requirements.
• Experience handling claims from submission through payment or resolution.
• Research rejected, denied, and unpaid claims and determine next steps.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules, documentation, patient and insurance information before claim submission.
• Submit primary, secondary, corrected, and replacement claims accurately and on time.
• Work rejections and make corrections.
• Follow up on unpaid/denied claims and investigate nonpayment causes.
• Post insurance payments and adjustments and reconcile payments.
• Route unresolved denials and issues for follow-up.
