Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of experience in substance abuse or mental health billing, proficiency with UB04 and HCFA-1500 forms, and familiarity with EHR/billing platforms such as MedTrainer, CollaborateMD or Sunwave; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of charge entry and billing experience in behavioral health/substance use settings
• Proven experience with rebilling and corrected claims submission
• Experience working a denied/ rejected claims queue, researching, correcting, and resubmitting denials
• Familiarity with UB04 (institutional) and HCFA-1500 (professional) forms
• Experience submitting both new and corrected claims
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding related to behavioral health billing
• Understanding payer-specific billing requirements and denial codes
• Experience with insurance verification and appeals processes
