Job summary

JotPsych is hiring two to three Medical Billers to own billing and credentialing end-to-end for a dedicated set of provider customers. The role is fully remote, with 4+ hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time, 30–40 hours per week, and a contract arrangement.

We support behavioral health clinicians through JotBill and JotCred, seeking specialists in Latin America and the Philippines to manage claims, enroll providers, and ensure timely credentialing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of US medical billing and/or credentialing experience
• 2+ years with behavioral health and psychiatry practices
• Hands-on with US payer portals (e.g., Availity, CAQH ProView, PECOS)
• Strong working knowledge of psychiatric CPT codes (90791/90792, 90832/90834/90837)

Responsibilities

• Own billing lifecycle: submit claims, post payments, and drive collections for behavioral health practices
• Manage credentialing: CAQH ProView profiles, payer enrollment, and document verification
• Handle denials: root-cause analysis, appeals, and follow-ups to resolution
• Coordinate provider onboarding: collect documents and build credentialing checklists
• Maintain payer interactions documentation with reference numbers and next steps
